Nuru was born in Japan - the word means "slippery". A clear seaweed-based gel makes the glide so complete that the boundary between the masseuse's body and yours practically disappears.
Why the gel changes everything
Oil gives warm, dense gliding; nuru gel gives weightlessness. Friction is close to zero, so the masseuse works with her full body weight without any discomfort - sensations impossible to reproduce with hands or oil.
The gel is odourless, non-sticky, skin-safe and rinses off with water, leaving no trace after a shower.
How a nuru session goes
It starts with a warm shower - the gel works best on damp skin. The masseuse warms the gel and spreads it over your body and hers, then moves into continuous gliding: back, legs, arms, back again, in a slow, viscous rhythm.
Nuru opens up best combined with a jacuzzi - the contrast of warm water and cool gel amplifies everything. That's the Exclusive Aqua format.

What is the gel, and is it safe?+
Classic nuru gel based on seaweed extract: clear, odourless, hypoallergenic, rinses off with water. We only use trusted products.
How does nuru differ from body massage?+
Technically it is also body-to-body, but on gel instead of oil - a fuller glide, denser contact and a distinctly 'aquatic', enveloping feel.
Can I have nuru in a jacuzzi?+
Yes - the Exclusive Aqua format: 30 minutes on the massage bed and 30-60 minutes in the jacuzzi. The most popular way to try nuru for the first time.
